BJ Nilsen – ORE (extended version)

Limited digital release, vial card with 2.0 ml iron ore (cryovial tube)

ORE (extended version) by the Swedish sound artist, field recordist and composer, BJ Nilsen, is a piece about the sound of mining. The composition is based on recordings that Nilsen did over the past four years on locations that are connected to mining iron ore and coal in Norway, Russia and the Netherlands. The recording reveals his research into the mining of iron ore and its impact on society and cultural relevance.

This very special ORE (extended version) includes an individual download code to the sound piece, and a cryovial tube containing 2.0 ml iron ore concentrate from Kirkenes, Norway.
